Saturation

There’s a whole lot of saturation in music nowadays.

Every trendy sound is quickly imitated by faces churning out homogeneous, derivative, corporately palatable tracks to be ‘discovered’ on an algorithmically generated playlist. Everybody has a soapbox, a microphone, and their own two cents on some new release that’s just dying to be heard as badly as the next nobody over. And yet, all anybody has to say is a facsimile of the same cliched talking points while cosplaying the gravity of Rolling Stone. The market is filled to the brim with pallid reduplicates. So what are you going to do to be different? That’s what Saturation is all about. The brightness of fresh, original perspectives on music presented without fear of garishness. The vibrance of expressing your authentic, colourful self without compromise to the art. The brilliance of defying categorization, carving your own niche, differentiating yourself from the confines of security everyone else chooses to offer. The shutter speed—hm, no, that one doesn’t quite work.

This year at Demo is about standing out from the crowd with unwavering vividness. Like a record player, it’s piercing through the white noise of monotony with needle-pointed resolve. Demo 2026 is Saturation. So show your true colours.
