Song Of The Week: Hodgy—“Glory”

Former Odd Future member Hodgy Beats released one of 2016’s most underrated albums. Fireplace:TheNotTheOtherside was a refreshing collection of some pretty solid tracks that emerged  from the ashes of the depressing Odd Future breakup . The album showcases the triumph of an artist reborn. One of my standout tracks is “Glory,” a song about finding faith and personal growth. Hodgy is truly growing from the ashes.

The track captures the ambiance of introspection, featuring a bubbling beat that pushes Hodgy’s lyrical dealings with finding faith and self-actualization forward. If you enjoy this song, be sure to listen to the whole album. Fireplace is one of the more underrated releases in the past few months, and I am anxiously awaiting Hodgy’s emergence as a strong stand-alone artist.
