Songs Of The Summer 2012: Part Eleven

With summer in full swing, we asked our Demo contributors, some Canadian musicians and a variety of U of T students what song they hope will represent their four months of sun.  Over the next weeks, we will share what they said.

Harris (Goose Hut)

Song: I Can See the Pines Are Dancing

Artist: AA Bondy

Album: When the Devil’s Loose

“This is the howling at the moon” is one of the things that this is – there are a lot of this’s and is’s and it’s all set perfectly to a beautiful tune filled with great little melodies and happy sad lyrics.

This is a song that reminds me of summer and makes me anticipate summer and it’s not half bad to listen to in the summer to boot.

This is a summer that’s already been filled with lots of magical moments, traveling across Canada on our first ever Canadian tour, meeting new people and seeing new places and playing music with friends.

This is a summer where I’ve seen the sun rise more times than I can remember seeing in all the rest of my life put together.

This is a summer of camping in strange places, sleeping on hard floors, and enjoying (almost) every minute of it.

This is a pretty good summer, and there’s more of it still!
